EXPERIENCE

Currently employed at The Bascom, in Highlands, North Carolina as the Director of Ceramics.  The Bascom is a non-profit center for the visual arts whose campus boosts high quality exhibitions, educational presentations, and public programs that promote the synergy of art and nature.  Responsibilities at The Bascom include:

 

  • Developing  and implementing ceramics programming  including The Three Potters Symposium, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017

  • Master’s level Ceramics Instructor

  • Oversee contractual agreements and budgets for The Bascom’s ceramics program

  • Interview, contract, and manage professional artists for educational ceramics program

  • Manage ceramics program operations, including staff management, equipment, and materials management, and studio technician duties

  • Market and promote ceramics programming
